Brief Description:  Test Flight #13, Slow flight

Flight test # 13 was completed 10-26-2017. The purpose of this test was to become familiar with and determine the slow flight characteristics of the Panther.

The tests were flown at the stall speed plus five miles per hour in four configurations, flaps up, and the three flaps down settings, with enough power in each configuration to maintain the starting altitude.

In each configuration, the plane was flown straight and level for two minutes, then 360-degree turns in each direction.

The Panther was well behaved in all four configurations.

The total Phase One time is 25.8 hours.

While waiting for the weather to clear for flight testing, I took some time to mount the uAvionix Echo UAT/GRT Safe-fly GPS ADS-B package that I received last week. The assembly has been mounted to the avionics tray, the coax run through the fuselage to the UAT antenna, and both ends terminated and connected. The colored wire loop will be connected to the EFIS after I finish drawing the schematic.
