The rubber āCā channel that dresses out the wing to fuselage intersection was mounted to both wings today.
After verifying adequate clearance between the wing and fuselage side, the wing surfaces and the rubber channel were cleaned with alcohol to prepare them for the adhesive. The rubber channel was slipped into place and taped in position.
While taped in position, the underside of the channel was rolled back, exposing the inside of the channel and the wing surfaces to which adhesive was to be applied. Contact adhesive was brushed onto the mating surfaces, and the solvent allowed to flash off. The channel was then repositioned and pressed into the adhesive from both the top and bottom. This process was repeated for the other wing.
