With the flox attaching the foam bulkhead now cured, a 3/32” hole was drilled in the bottom of the wheel pants, behind the bulkhead to equalize pressure in the rear cavity of the wheel pants.
Both wheel pants were remounted. The right pant was marked to upsize the opening for operational clearance. The left pant was checked to verify clearance, and one corner was deemed to be too close, so it was marked as well. Both were cut, but this will be checked again after the plane is set back on the floor. It will also be checked with flat tires, because this sometimes happens, and if the clearance is insufficient, the wheel pants can be destroyed.
The wheel pants were cleaned and the first round of Body Filler applied.
