Today the wheel pants were sanded thoroughly in preparation for spot filling tomorrow.
Bulkheads were fabricated from ½” thick insulating foam with aluminum foil on both faces. These bulkheads fit inside the wheel pant, about 1-1/2” behind the wheel. The purpose is to keep crud and corruption from accumulating in the rear of the wheel pant. The bulkheads were adhered to the wheel pants with a fillet of a thick mixture of epoxy and cotton flox.
The green tape pieces are temporary handles that will be removed after the epoxy cures.
