Centerlines were marked on the wheel pants. The distance from the inboard side of the inboard mounting bracket to the center of the tire tread was measured to be 4-3/4”. After making some measurements on the wheel pant, I determined that the centerline of the wheel opening in the wheel pant needed to be 1-1/16” outboard of the centerline of the wheel pant.
This offset line was drawn on the bottom of the wheel pant, the plywood cut pattern aligned and marked, and the opening cut in the rear half of the pant with a jigsaw. It was trial fitted to the wheel, and looked promising at this point.
