The spot putty filler applied to the canopy skirt yesterday was sanded smooth. The surface was carefully cleaned, the underside of the canopy was masked off, then a fresh coat of primer filler was applied.
During the process of fitting the canopy assembly to the fuselage, the boot cowl top was scratched a little. The boot cowl was removed, sanded with 400 grit paper, and green Scotch-Brite. A couple of small pits were filled with spot putty.
