Work on the right wing fairing is underway. This is a relatively easy project, but takes some time because half of the work is done while lying on your back under the wing.
I followed the process outlined in the BM with the exception that I used a Whitney punch for all but two or three of the holes where details on the wing interfered with the punch.
The mounting holes around the fuel tank were marked 5/16” from the inboard edge, and punched with a 3/32” punch. After the forward fairing was positioned and clamped in position, the Whitney punch was inverted and the punch pin inserted into the previously punched holes in the fuel tank, and transferred to the fairing. I started at the leading edge, clamping the fairing tight to the wing as I worked my way to the back.
The forward right wing fairing is trimmed, match punched, and clecoed in place. The top and bottom rear pieces are located and ready to punch tomorrow.
