Brief Description:  Details

I worked on several detail items today.

Now that the seat cushions are cut and in position, I sat in the seat and adjusted the rudder pedals to a comfortable position. The rudder related hardware was then finalized and cotter pins installed.

I changed the fuel selector valve to provide a more logical Left-Off-Right operation, with the fuel exiting at the bottom. However, the valve stem was about ½” too long. So, I shortened the stem, machined a new flat for the actuator, then drilled and tapped the end of the stem for the actuator retaining screw.

The fuel selector valve was remounted and all of the downstream fuel fittings were tightened.

I also started work on the cheek cowling attach strips.

Nothing worth photographing today.
