Brief Description:  Permanent Installation of the Firewall

The replacement sealant arrived, so the stainless steel firewall was removed. Sealant was applied as instructed in the Builder’s Manual, and the firewall riveted to the fuselage structure with stainless blind rivets.

The next morning, all the wiring and other connections through the firewall were reestablished.

With the firewall permanently mounted, the airframe side of the Weather Pack connector for the alternator, carb temperature, fuel pressure, oil pressure, and oil temperature sensors, could be completed. It was assembled then plugged in to its mate on the engine for a trial fit. Looks good.
