Work continued on the canopy frame today. I found a couple of fork rod ends left over from a previous project that I decided to use for the latch mechanism. They were adapted to the locking pins by modifying a couple of ¼-28 bolts and gluing them in the tube ends with JB-Weld.
The 3/16” bolt extending from the pivot block in image #2 will be replaced with a press fit dowel pin, and serves as a stop to prevent the latching pins from being withdrawn too far.
Everything else is standard to the Builder’s Manual.
