Today, after carefully examining the Drawings and BM, the hinge for the Right flap was drilled for rivets. Unfortunately, when I cut the flap hinge for the wings, I cut both halves of the hinge because I did not realize that the half of the hinge that is riveted to the flap is ½”, or one knuckle, longer than the half riveted to the wing. After pondering this for a while, I decided to cut the hinge back five knuckles and patch in a piece five knuckles long. This provides five rivets to attach the patch segment, far better structurally than just one or two rivets for a shorter piece.
