The elevator up stop was set into position and shimmed to provide 20 degrees of elevator up travel. The horizontal stabilizer was removed, and the up stop was centered and clamped in position with the shims still in place. The 3/16” mounting holes were match drilled to the fuselage longerons. The clamps and shims were removed; the up stop was deburred, and then bolted in position. The horizontal stabilizer was remounted, and the up travel was rechecked, confirming 20 degrees of up travel.
