The engine work for today consisted of wire wheel brushing the ring gear, then solvent washing to remove any grease or oil. This was followed by priming with VHT primer, thirty minutes of cure time, then color painting with VHT Ford Gray.
The oil fill cap was also assembled then repainted.
All of the VHT painted parts are scheduled for post-curing in the oven at 200-degrees for one hour tomorrow morning. My wife will be out of the house, but she reluctantly approved the process. I had better be finished, cleaned up, and have the house aired out before she returns, or the oven privileges could be withdrawn for the future. I hope we have a lot of Febreze in the closet.
