Brief Description:  Rudder Pedals +

Today I removed the forward fuselage side skins for better access to the rudder pedal mechanisms. While the side skins were off, I clecoed them together, back to back, then modified the flap actuator opening in the left skin to match the previously modified right side.

The rudder pedals were locked in the neutral position with a couple of 5/16” thick sticks. After adjusting the seat to allow me to comfortably sit in the cockpit, the brake pedals were adjusted for proper access and operation for my 6’-2” frame. The torque tube and rudder pedal ends were marked for alignment, then a temporary drilling fixture was clamped together to hold alignment of the torque tube and rudder pedals while they were drilled and reamed. The process worked well, and both brake pedals aligned with each other after everything was mounted in the fuselage. All of the spacer questions from yesterday were figured out, and the multiple spacer washer configurations optimized, with the final hardware.
