Brief Description:  Aft Fuselage Prep

Bulkheads 2 , 3, 4, and 5 were removed, deburred, the rivet holes dimpled, and each bulkhead was riveted together. The bulkheads were clecoed back into the aft fuselage assembly, and the assembly was flipped over for work on the bottom side.

After removing the protective plastic film from the inner surface of the lower aft skin, it was clecoed to the five bulkheads, aligned with the recesses in the lower longerons, then clamped into position. The distance from the forward edge of the bottom skin to the forward edge of each of the side skins was measured. Both measured the same, so match drilling of the lower skin to the lower longerons started from the rear end, and worked forward from both sides.
