Brief Description:  Fuel Tanks

Continued dry assembly of the fuel tanks. Drilled and countersunk the fuel level sender nutplate rivet holes foe 3/32” countersunk rivets.

The fuel tank vent lines were cut to 48 inches, and the tooling holes that the vent tube will pass through were opened up from ¼” to 9/32” to ease assembly of the vent lines. The vent lines will be constrained to the ribs with ProSeal, so the slightly oversize holes will not create a rattle problem.

I glued wood blocks to the side of the tank assembly saddles that will enable me to firmly push the tank skin into the saddles and easily adjust the clamping force and squareness of the rear edges.
