After deburring and cleaning the right spar components, the spar was reassembled, and temporary bolts and nuts were installed at each rib location to hold the assembly together. The permanent countersunk fasteners were installed, then the two steel bushings were pressed into position using the process described in the Builder’s Manual. The only change I made to the process was to use a combination of Mobile 1 oil and ZDDP, because I did not have the specified 3-in-one oil. This combination worked very well, and the bushings seated into position without difficulty. The spar was then loaded with the specified rivets in preparation for the rivet squeezer. Be careful when inserting the rivets. All the rivets in the right spar are not installed from the same direction.
