Weather was crap today so made a start on the L/H elevator since I will be out tomorrow. Cut one of the stiffeners too short (duh!) because I missed the dimension "1 27/32" and only read "27/32". Bugger. I made another one from sheet which was quite good, but I can do better. One neat thing is that it gave me the opportunity to practice bending the .020 sheet, just like the trim tabs. It was a good, neat, straight bend along the whole length of the stiffener with no cracks. But I decided that my cut lines were a little wavy, so I'm going to do it again. The bend was also sharper than I'd like, so I've radiused my bending block a little more to give a smoother bend. Fully deburred and dimpled the remaining stiffeners and they are ready to be primed. Will make the last stiffener tomorrow, and deburr/dimple the skin ready for priming.
