Brief Description:  Canopy frame welding

Well, Evan came round this evening for what was supposed to be a half hour job. It turned out to be a little trickier than we expected for something that seemed so simple. Nonetheless, the retaining pins are now in lace and with a lttle further tweaking should work a treat.

Also, the canopy taxi latch is welded on and it turns out I should have used 3/16" material as the 1/8" stuff was too thin and made the welding tricky; not the neatest of jobs but once I've cleaned it up and had the thing painted it won't notice.

Next job will be the final fiting and trimming of the canopy, followed by the BIG CUT. Only then can I get the frame balsted and re-painted before doing the sika thing. Watch this space (slowly!).
