Countersunk, cleaned and primered the reinforcing plate. Countersunk, cleaned, primered and riveted nutplates to the pitot mast. It would seem that I don't have the right fittings to connect the actual SafeAir1 pitot tubing to the Evans Aviation pitot tube. I don't know whether to connect the plastic tubing directly to the pitot mast or do as recommended and have a short aluminium extender. It would appear, in my estimation that an aluminium tube extender would only create more potential points of failure. I can't see why, with the right connectors, the plastic tubing can't connect directly to the pitot mast. It is an unheated pitot after all. Time to check the forums!! Also ran three bits of drawcord trhough the recently installed wing wiring conduit, since I was in the garage anyway.
