Brief Description:  Safety Trim Controller mounting

With the canopy frame out for a week to ten days for blasting and powder coating, there isn't a whole lot else I can be getting on with right now. One of the jobs on my 'To Do' list was the mounting of the Safety Trim Controller, so I decided to take a look at that. After discussing various options with Jackie, we both agreed that we didn't want it behind the panel (quite apart from not knowing how much space we have there) and many other places were awkward at best. The end decision was that we mounted it behind the cover panel over the mid-cabin bulkheads. I originally made this cover to hide wiring but it turns out to be ideal for the controller. I mounted it on a rubber pad to help guard against vibration. The .060" aluminium clamp strips will have one-legged #8 nutplates riveted to them once they have been primered. Now I have to find some place to mount the on/off/reverse toggle switch, but I'll do that later on.
