Brief Description:  Tom Clark fastback - top skin

Phew! Ok, so I haven't fitted it yet, and won't be for a few weeks, so I can't tell for certain. BUT, I'm pretty pleased with the way the cutting of the top skin has worked out. Especially considering I did it entirely with a dremel and 1½" cutting disk. It was slow and careful going, a few inches at a time, but I'm pretty happy with it. The two ends I wasn't too concerned about as they'll get trimmed anyway. It was that long side that goes down the fuselage side; if that wasn't straight then *everyone* will notice! As it happens, it isn't 100% perfect (obviously, since it was cut by hand), but it is pretty darn close. The proof, as they say, will be in the pudding. i.e. when I fit it to the plane.

In other news, my Infinity Grips should be here either tomorrow or after the weekend. I had to phone NZ Customs to get them released; $86; the thieving buggers! Mind you, it'll hurt more when the finish kit arrives, which it is due to do towards the 24th April or so. Now, where exactly I'm going to put it, I have no idea!! We have parts of aeroplane all over the place and I've pretty much commandeered the spare room (Jackie's sewing/computer room) and the rear 1½m of the living room (wings). Ah well, I guess I'll find somewhere :-)
