Came home early from work today and got some good workshop time in. First job was to drill the pushrod attach hole in the elevator horns which went well enough. Then I deburred and drilled the elevator bellcrank parts & got them ready for priming. After that I went ahead and made up the F-840 and F-841 elevator pushrods. The F-840 awaits priming inside and out, but I got distracted by a neighbour while working on the F-841 and went ahead and installed the rod-ends without priming the inside. I've sent an email to Vans about it as it will *not* be an easy task to get those rod ends out of there without damage now as they are *really* tight. The aluminium tube has been fine in my workshop over the last year or so, showing no signs of corrosion whatsoever. I do, of course, intend to primer the outside and I cleaned the inside before I 'accidentally' installed the rod ends. No matter, if I need to have a go at disassembling it then I will do, no drama.
