Brief Description:  Fwd side skins & cooling ramp

Now that the gear tower mod is done, installing the remaining AN509-8R10 screws into the landing gear weldment/F-820 side skins was easy. We ran out, though, so are missing a screw on one side which I must remember to put in when I order more. We also fitted the bulkhead fitting for the vent pipes, but these have not yet been toqued as I don't know what torque value to use; I'll need to look that up.

After we finished the work on the gear towers, we pushed ahead with installing the cooling ramp. This went quite well, even the proseal filltets which Jackie made a good job of. A quick riveting job later and we're done with the underside of the fuselage. One point for other builders; the AN426AD4-4 rivets called out in the plans that attach the cooling ramp, F-822 floor and bottom firewall angle are woefully inadequate; we used -6's and they were just about ok. Thats *two* sizes bigger; an error in the plans, methinks...
