Brief Description:  Fuselage disassembly

Well, I started un-cleco'ing the fuselage this evening but I didn't get very far. When I removed the seatback support and the F-856 spacers I found that the holes for the bolts that go through the spacer were nice figure-8's. They looked identical when I had them together, but obviously that is not the case, and I must have installed them upside down. Ah well. I'll order some new ones and hold here until they arrived and I can re-fit and re-drill. Pooh!

UPDATE: I subsequently noticed that the edge distance on the screw holes for the AN509-8r8 screws was pants too. After debating with myself, and talking with Vans (who not unexpectedly said "build on"), I decided I really wasn't happy and also ordered new canopy rails and a new frame (since Vans said I wasn't allowed to weld the holes closed and drill new ones). $500 later, and it's all fixed to my satisfaction. See the next couple of posts.
