The latest addition to the tools arsenal :-) I had the DRDT-2 front end kit shipped over and had the frame made locally by Thorburns Sheetmetal (I know one of the guys there). I picked up the frame last night but needed to get some M6 screws to be able to fit the front end. Since New Zealand is a metric country, we had to make a few changes to the design. The steel channel is a slightly different size because that was what was available and in stock; to buy the correct size I'd have had to spend over $300 on an 8m length, most of which I didn't need! Also, to avoid having to buy a 1/4" UNC tap just for this job, we decided to go with M6 instead (hence the need for me to buy some M6 stainless screws, nuts & washers today (about $10)). Haven't yet paid for the frame, but was quoted $375 and it came already primed in silver. I sprayed it with the light blue hammerite stuff last night ($12 or so for one can). The front end kit, including shipping was $320 so all up the DRDT-2 cost me somewhere in the region of $720; I hope it was worth it!! I'll find out in a few days I suppose; I've got those wing skins to deburr and dimple :-)
