Brief Description:  Rivet bottom outboard wing skin (left wing)

I reckon we must be the slowest riveters in aircraft building! Another 4 man-hours and we didn't really get that much done. Still, we're over half way through the outboard wing skin now and seem to have developed "the knack". Sort of at least. AND, we got the pitot tube on!! Actually, for some reason the two rivets holding the skin/spar/pitot tube plate seemed to give us a lot of trouble. One of them got drilled out once and the other one twice (along with the one below it that got 'nibbled' by the bucking bar). It didn't help that when we finally got it sorted we used a -4.5 instead of a -5 rivet because some pillock (probably me) managed to put a whole load of rivets in the wrong tray!! At least they were a slightly different colour, and there weren't that many of them so it wasn't a huge job to sort them out. Pain in the ass though!! I'm feeling a lot better about riveting these skins; as with most task in building this bird, its all about practice and experience. We may be slow compared to what I read in other builders logs, but I'm more than happy at our progress and have no desire to try to race any one else; when its done its done, and not before. Until tomorrow then... :-)
