Brief Description:  Fitting the canopy

I haven't yet fabricated the canopy frame retaining blocks/pins, but have decided that job should not have to hold up initial trimming of the canopy. The first thing we need to do is protect the canopy from scratches, since we removed the original plastic when inspecting the canopy after arrival. To do that, we placed it onto the fuselage and placed tape to outline where we shall cover the canopy with plastic. We removed the canopy and fitted plastic to the outer suface; its quite 'clingy' stuff this pallet wrap! We also flipped the canopy over and did inner surface in the same manner.

The white masking tape at the aft end is actually where we shall make our first cut to start trimming to match the fastback frame. Nerve wracking stuff! We won't be starting the trimming until Jackie breaks from work anyway, so we can allocate a decent amount of time to it.
