Brief Description:  Right wing tip

Continued trimming and fitting the right-hand wing tip today. Went really quite well. Jackie came and gave me a hand every time I wanted to trial fit it following some trimming. She was doing the ironing down in the bedroom and gave me the intercom phone to 'call' her when I needed her. I think she got a bit rat-arsed after the eigth call and decided to just stay for quarter of an hour and help until it was done!! Once all in place, I taped it up with duct tape, checked alignment one last time, and then let Jackie get back to her ironing while I match drilled it all. One thing I have noticed, is that I didn't need to trim around the aileron hinge bracket as much, and now I'm left with not much edge distance on the holes. I wasn't sure what to do about this at first, but after doing the internal tip rib (see next post), I have a plan. The tip alignment vertical with the aileron trailing edge in the neutral position came out real well. Pleased with that. But the tip is actually a little longer than the aileron, so it sticks out aft a little ways. Not sure what to do about that yet.
