Got home way earlier than expected this afternoon (5:30pm rather than 8:30pm) but wasn't really geared up to work on anything. So Jackie helped me fit the wheels to the wing stand: at least I can move it around easily now. We also noticed that the silicon that we used to 'fix' the pitot tubing into the ribs/bushes hasn't set. It's going. Slowly. But at this rate it'll be another few weeks!! Of course, winter in the Waikato is a cold, wet affair and that is very likely the problem. So before we get any further riveting the bottom inboard wing skin we really need to sort this out. We've put a heater and a dehumidifier into the workshop for the evening and we'll see if that helps; I'm not prepared to leave them running when I'm not around, but we'll run them for the next couple of evenings and see if the silicon sets up. If not, then we'll have to just do our best to clean it off and try something else. The other possibility is that the silicon we used is quite old, so maybe it won't set at all; though I've never had that problem before. Watch this space... :-)
