Was in the workshop for over an hour and really didn't achieve much at all. That scarf joint on the wing skins has been playing on my mind a bit so I've emailed Vans about it to see what they say. Hopefully I'll have a reply by tomorrow and I'll know whether I can "build on" or not. I don't like the thought (financially) of replacing the skins though. Yikes! This evening I planned to deburr and dimple the rear spar and main ribs and fit the fuel tank, ready for rivetting on the top inboard skin tomorrow (Vans permitting, of course). It didn't really happen. I got about half way through all those jobs but didn't actually complete any of them. Never mind, Derrick is coming over tomorrow night to help me out so I'll get him onto some of it. It will make the evening a bit more interesting than just having him hold the bucking bar while I back rivet the skin.
