Brief Description:  Deburr & dimple wing skins

Jackie and I got stuck in to it tonight. Its amazing just how long some of this stuff takes, even with tools that make life easier, like our new DRDT-2 (superb tool; you simple must get one of these!). Anyway, we edge finished the wing walk doubler and the top main inboard wing skin. After pulling off the blue plastic from both the top skins, it took almost as long to clean off adhesive residue with meths as it did to edge finish them! I scarfed the corners of the inboard and outboard skins where they overlap. I think I may have gone too far along the front edge, since the instructions say to go 3"-4", even though the actual overlap is only an inch and a half or so. I think I may have mis-interpreted the instructions. Ah well, it isn't too deep a scarf. As normal, we deburred all the holes and then tried out the new DRDT-2 dimpler. Too easy! Even Jackie loves it! :-) Even so, doing just the wing walk doubler and the inboard skin took four and a half man-hours (2.25hrs for two people).
