Another local builder put me onto PPG DP40 epoxy-based primer, since I wasn't getting the results I really wanted with Ameron 719. Wow! This stuff is *soooo* much better; and this was my first attempt, outside, in windy conditions. Superb. Thanks, Phil. I mixed up *way* more than I needed, so I ended up throwing away around ¼L or mixed primer. But who cares? I'm a happy bunny. I just about got done before it started spitting with rain, so I'll leave it until tomorrow night to dry completely and then rivet all the bits together.
