1) I had to modify the bending brake by extending its length by several feet, a pain in the you know what, but untimately sucessful. the first bend on the full length rear spar after the first bend
2) It takes two operators to make this long bend. Bob and I attrempted this for the first time.
3) Last bend on the first attempt.
This attempt was a failure inthat the whole spar was badly curved fore to aft, and the edges were wavy, for some reason. I later concluded that the wavy-ness may have been due to the hand shears I used while making the blank. The cut off edge scrap was too wide. By rough cutting the edge with the air driven shear first, then making the accurate cut with the hand shear at less that 1/4 inch made for a much better and smoother edge. live and learn....still!
