Brief Description:  air cleaner and oil cooler

1) Now this is a story in itself. The element came from an open house parts sale at a local aircraft slavage year ( wont mention ASOD) and was very usable. I cleaned it up and will use it. It happens to be about twice as large as the Sonex one, so I will see just what it causes when I try to set the needle on the Aero Jector.

2) another picture. the top plate is a part I salvaged from one on those very very large satalitte dishes from maybe 30 years ago(?) and was in the pile-o-stuff-in-the-corner of the shop. the diameter was just a bit small where I had to cut it open so to fit over the jinlet of the Aerojector. I cut the support holes for the long bolts to match pictures of the original Sonex item, and made a matching plate for the bottom. When bolted together they looked and fit just fine. The cowling should fit...barely...from what I measured. If not, well either a bump in the cowling or a shorter element.

3) Also, as I live in Texas, and it gets powerful hot here from time to time, I decided to again go th the pile-o-stuff and retrieve this not very old, but too small for the big Dodge often seen in the background shots of the fusalage build sequences over the years. It just happens to be the correct width, but 2x the fwd-aft size of the called for cooler. So what the hey...I decided to install it with the idea of block off plates for cooler days.
