Brief Description:  panel shut off

1 & 2--As shown here are the preliminary moc ups of the mechanisms for the remote panel mounted shut off for the fuel valve. I initally used some 4130 tube as the long arm from the pannel to the valve, but later changed it to a thick walled aluminum tube for weight reasons, and then to an aluminum rod with a dog leg bent to attack the heim end bearing to the valve. The T handle at the pannel probably will remain as it is a completely different feel when groping around for things whil attending to outside aircraft duties. I really dont want to pull the wrong thing at the wrong time. In later pictures there may be shots of the mechanism in ts final form. By the way, the locking knob at the pannel end is on a square shaft which wont rotate, and has a great locking strength. Dont ask where I got it because I have forgotten...some old airplane from a long ago annual I would guess. I NEVER toss anything, as you probably know by now!!
