1--I us3d a plastic pill bottle for a starting form. I put silicon spray on a rag and used it as a mold release. It worked ok. Looking back I should have used a bit bigger pill bottle.
2--This is the result of the first layup. MY first also. ugly looking, IMHO. But runctional at least
3- this is how I formed the top ring, third try. It will suffice until I can either find a better one, or take some real time to make a real form and take my time forming it. Yep, that is a muffler expansion adapter, and the top off the Cessnas old mag har nas. I never toss anything!.
