Brief Description:  process test

1) I have discovered that at times I need to make sure of my measurments will actually do what I need.I make about a 2 inch wide surface and measure the center bend points along the flat strip, bend it up as needed, and then test the fitment to the rib. this is my third attempt at nudging the bend points to get a good fitment. It appears that way. I then unfold the strip and use it as a markup gauge for the real surface, pretty much assured that the real surface will also be in compliance with the ploans.

This works out well, but one little rub is the allignment in the bending brake. I have to be very carefull and get the markings into the exact position in the brake as i used on the mock surface. It aint easy! but is a whole lot better than waisting large sheets of 6061-t6!

2) the under side of the mock up.

I show 4.5 hours, but I dont show the first two gauges that were crap. and didnt fit correctly!
