Image one Whe I built the pushrods, I startede weith a slot in the end of the tubing that was just wide enough to hold the flat metal in place. The slots are directly opposite each other, and I had only a Dremmel tool to cut them with, so I had to be very precise with my meqasurments on the slots to prevent the end from being offset or at an angle.
Image two This shows how I got the end to taper down into the end of the pushrod per plans.I cut curved edges on the aforementioned slots, so when I heated the metal I could bump it down into a centle contour on the flat plate. With a little practice, it became much easier to do.
