1) material is .125 Chrom-moly steel, cut with my trusty 50 year old Chraftsman Saber saw. That steel is tough!
2) To make the item function well the sides must be as identical as possible, and with this in mind I file to shape both while securely clamped.
3) After the sides are formes, they are drilled together so the axel shaft holes will allign very well if not perfectly.( Perfection isnt my end game on this project, but extreamly acceptable is!!) I have bolted the axel shaft and one of the lightening holes with hardware. I adjusted the small hardware inside nuts for parrallelism of the two side arms. I then placed the rear member inplace, and prepared to weld.
