Shoirt update as of this afdternoon. I have begun taildragger training and am progressing with that, along with rusty pilot reviews. Made my first three TD landings, On a 1-10 scale my instructor gave #1 a 2, #2 a4-5, and #3 maybe 6-7. Not bad for an old fart...oops! can I say that here? I dont know just who is watching!!! anyway I am progressing towards first flight sometime 2nd quarter 17 and it has to be on a Thursday. I shall let you know after the fact.
Lastly, as an old man, we sometimes have problems with our old worn out body and its parts. Today, 4-22-17, I had a terrible problem befall me. As I was upside down inside the plane, tywraping the tubing for the LRI meter, I was holding a couple of small tywraps in my teeth. I must have chomped on them for some unknown reason, and I took out one of my incisor teeth, clean off at the gum line. I suspect the thing was already dead and on its way out, so to speak I can now use a straw without opening my mouth at all. It gave me no warning, and thank God no pain. Oh well, see the picture. More gas money gone!!
