1) Well, thank the good Lord that I did not have any damage to the heads they cleaned up just fine. I suspect if I had run it longer that the 1.5 min I might have done more to the heads. If one looks closely, one can see the TimeSerts for the plugs. I am a great new fan of these!
2) This one does show the exact place of the leak. In the LH area, one should see different colorations on the top lip of the cylinder barrell, with the cleanest portion in the middle showing the hottest part of the excaping flame. It also looks like the paint wasnt harmed. Good for the BBQ black hi heat paint from AEROWAL Mart!
3) The coloration on the piston tops is, I think, mostly burnt assembly grease from the valve quides being injested, as it was a thickish oily mess. should burn off without any problem
At this point I asked for warranty replacement of defective barrell from Sonex, and they delivered nicely as I had sent these pix to them. I received the replacement in a couple of days. Good on them!
