1) This is the previously mentioned footswitch. It consists of a suitable micro switch capable of handeling the amperage required by the saw, a return spring, an outlet to plug the (orange) saw cord into, and a pigtail to plug the footswitch into an extension cord (white). It functioned just as intended, cost nothing, and I can use it for other things to boot!
