1) This appears to be a good idea, at least to me. It will have to shim the canoipy to fit exactly the turtle deck curvature, as I see and hear others have had to do. John recommends faucet washers from some place called 'Aero-walMart'? Not sure if I have ever run into that place before. Huh.

Anyway, I am not pretty much done with the canopy pre assembly and must have the windshield in place before I continue on the actual canopy, which, if I am good, may be comming in late december...maybe??

Since these last few pix were taken, I have procured the windshield Lexan, and am in the process of setting up the workbench to cut the blank for fitment to the hard won windshield bow, which is now painted with flat black paint, drilled and tapped of course, and sort of installed on the fuse. As one may have noticed, the glare shield topping is in place, and appears to be done. The pannel was slid into place for a little show and tell a few weeks ago, and I just dont want to remove it! Not yet at least. The fitment of the wings may take place sometime in November if the WX holds rain and cold wise. My shop driveway isnt really very level, but it is doable, I think, with enough assistance. The wind has to be down pretty well as I have no sheltered positions I can use if it isnt. No premature airborne-ness allowed!!! I am really looking forward to getting the windshield on and the wing allignments done so I can take some more pix when it actually looks like an aeroplane! I know my two daughters will probably say OMG!!

I do wish to thank all those fine fellow aviators/builders/concerned individuals from everywhere who gave me great advice. All the bows came out just great, nothing had to be scrapped, and I am very pleased. Thanks again!!
