1) Well, after a bit of time and consternation with the shippment of the spar caps arriving all beat to hell, and recovering from seemingly endless scratches, they have been blessed by Sonex and myself so I can proceed. When one scratch buoilds and buys thiongs that are very flexable and not packed very securely, one actually realizes the bvenifits of having a large crate arriving, with said flexable items safely stored withion the shipping skid. Oh well.

2) This shows the total length of the almost perfectly level building jig I used (the idea comes from another builder on sonexbuilders blog) and how much longer I wish I had built the bench at the beginning!
