Image one this again shows another jig I used for welding the pedals. Again I had to tweak it when I got the metal cut and fitted in. I did find one unforseen problem with doing this. When heated during welding, the danged pipe tended to move. I had to straighten out the large upper section of each pedal after all the welding was finished because of having created a slight bow.
Image two, on the secind pedal, I tried to lessen the bow by placing the lower parts on which your feet rest, with another pipe. this did help with more precise allignment, but it still bowed some, albeit not as much. After straightening, I fit them into the forward cockpit and did what was necessary for smoothe operation.
