In order to prepare the wing for riveting, I scribed the plastic coating along the rivet lines with a soldering iron and removed the coating so that the rivets can be placed. In addition, I vacuumed and air blasted the wing, and removed the trailing edge wood protector, and switched the wing to a rack so that I can work on the other wing. The blue X marks where the undersurface has protrusions where they must be protected from contact with the ground or other surfaces.
