Brief Description:  Fuselage Cover 4

After tracing out the tapes, I made gussets for protrusions and odd shapped metal, and Poly-Brushed them on after an initial coat of Poly-Brush (followed by a final coat of Poly-Brush). I provisionally mounted the rudder. I ran into trouble placing the cut in the fabric for the rudder cables; before covering, I had made a template of poster board where the rudder cable should come out. Unfortunately, there is some variation in how the posterboard lays on the fuselage and how the fabric lays, and it resulted in the hole being about 3 inches off. I ended up patching the fabric from the inside and going ahead and using an Avery rudder cutout fairing, whose gusset cosmetically overlapped the erroneous cut in the fabric (the patch on the inside provides the structural repair). I then ironed the numerous tapes and gussets at 225 deg and wiped the fuselage fabric down with Polyfiber solvent, and masked off the cabin area and other entrances.
