Brief Description:  Weight and Balance 2

The DAR wants to weigh the aircraft himself, so I spent some time trying to get it ready to be weighed. I had leveled the aircraft quickly using a rotary level, but my distances between the leading edge of the wing and the main gear axle were different from those of Bob Barrows and others. Accordingly, I took the time to recalibrate my digital level, and re-leveled the aircraft using the longeron between Stations B & C, this time deflating the tailwheel and inflating the main tires to 35 lbs to get the aircraft exactly at 0.0 degrees with the digital level. The new main gear arms are -1.94 inches and the new tailwheel arm is 198.3 inches. The DAR also wanted the fuel line disconnected from the carb in order to get the proper empty fuel. After pumping out the aux tanks until the pumps were sucking air in the level flight attitude, I drained out the main tanks and disconnected the fuel line to the carburetor.
