Brief Description:  Low Oil Pressure Revisited

I was up doing some zero G maneuvers to calibrate the AOA, and after that the oil pressure again dropped, such that it went to 22 psi at idle. Possibly the maneuvers loosened some debris. This was about at 10 houjrs tach time. So, in the interest of figuring it out, I first replaced the oil filter, since that didn't involve draining the oil. Opening the filter revealed a slight amount of RTV debris and some fine shavings. The next flight oil pressure was the same. I then drained the oil (an access door and quick drain are good things), and removed the suction screen. This time there was a single largish RTV piece, a bit of an improvement from the last screen removal. The next flight showed idle oil pressure to be 35 to 40 psi and 2700 RPM oil pressure to be about 65 psi at 200 deg oil temp. I spoke with Bob Barrows and he thinks that's fine.
